The Australian Technology Park in Redfern, home to the most significant collection of Victorian blacksmithing machinery in the world, currently houses Eveleigh Works.
Eveleigh Works is a blacksmithing school dedicated to teaching traditional and contemporary blacksmithing techniques to the community. Their courses are open to the public with a focus on hand forging techniques, metal sculpture, knife-making and tool-making.
2017 will mark 130 years of blacksmithing on the site. Mirvac, acting as caretakers and in collaboration with Eveleigh Works will ensure the maintenance and protection of the rare heritage machinery collection for the future.
